Game Recap

The Hamilton Junior High Soccer Team had a big win in the NECC tournament against Lakeland by a score of 2 to 1 to give them a third place finish. The game was tied at the end of regulation and it took 12 penalty kicks to determine a winner. Camren Bosse had an amazing performance at goalie stopping 9 of Lakeland’s 12 penalty kicks. In addition to the penalty kicks, Camren registered another 9 saves during regulation time against Lakeland. Michael Geiger scored a goal during regulation and converted both of his penalty kicks. Additionally Ethan Farnsworth and Gavyn Parker scored on penalty kicks. Hamilton lost their first game to West Noble by a score of 8 to 1 with Michael Geiger scoring the lone goal. West Noble was the ultimate tournament winner beating Westview by a score of 7 to 1. The Hamilton Coaches were amazed by the performance of the Marines. The Marines came off a very frustrating loss to West Noble and followed up with their best by far game of the season against Lakeland. This same Lakeland team beat Hamilton 6 to 0 which shows how far the Marines have come over the course of the season.

The Third Place finish in the NECC and final record of 7 – 9 – 2 are one of the best (if not the best) performance of any Jr High Soccer team in Hamilton History. What’s more is 5 of the 9 losses were by 1 or 2 goals
