The varsity men’s and women’s track and field team opened their season on Saturday as they hosted the Marine Invitational. This was the first meet in two years for the Marines as last year’s season was cancelled due to the pandemic.
How it happened:
On the men’s side, Dawson Miller finished 6th in the shot put (32’11.25″) and discus throw (99’8″), Caleb Lepper finished 6th in the Long Jump (16’5.75″). Additionally the 4 x 100 meter relay (Caleb Lepper, Leland Lester, Isiah Geiselman, and Dawson Miller) finished 5th with a time of 51.3 and the 4 x 400 meter relay (Caleb Lepper, Kenny Schiek, Leland Lester and Cayden Prosser) finished 5th with a time of 4:30.9.
On the women’s side, Caylie Kaiser finished 3rd in the discus throw (82’4″) and 6th in the shot put (23’10.25″) individually. The 4 x 400 meter relay (Raymie Howard, Meghyn McMullen, Chloe Prosser, and Jasmine Schiek) finished 5th with a time of 4:57.5.
